Ruamahanga River at Wardells
This site is located at Wardells Bridge, about 4.5 km south of Masterton and about 600 metres upstream of the confluence with the Waingawa River. The site was established in 1954 and is the longest running river level recorder in the Wairarapa.

Partial restrictions come into effect when flow is between 2700 l/s (2.700 m3/s) and 2400 l/s (2.400 m3/s)
Full restrictions come into effect when flow is less than 2400 l/s (2.400 m3/s)
